Сycle map of Lviv appeared recently
Information on cycling infrastructure is now available on the city's geographic portal. Existing bike paths are mapped in blue. Their total length is about 100 km. You can also find bicycle rental locations on the map, including Nextbike stations, cycling yards and bicycle workshops.

The legend remains in the past: a popular restaurant was closed in Lviv
The well-known four-story restaurant "House of Legends" was closed in the center of Lviv because of the refusal of the owner of the house to continue the lease. This establishment really became a city legend. It attracted tourists not only with the kitchen and the famous Lviv tinctures, but also with the general concept, atmosphere, interior and exterior. Visitors especially enjoyed the observation deck on the roof of the house, as well as a daily evening light show on the front of the building. The owner of the restaurant hinted that "House of Legends" may appear in a new place.
"No plastic" campaign
On April 9, the "no plastic" campaign started in Lviv. On this day, many stores and supermarkets offered buyers an alternative to plastic bags – paper bags or reusable eco-bags. In addition to this, during the campaign educational videos will be distributed in social networks. Also, major thematic events like festivals and fairs will be held. Educational campaign "No plastic" will last until July 3, the day which is announced as the international no plastic day.
Anniversary beauty contest "Miss Lviv 2019"
On April 16, in the hall of the Lviv Opera, the jubilee tenth final of the Miss Lviv 2019 contest will be held. 14 contestants will compete both for the main crown of the city and the opportunity to represent Lviv at the all-Ukrainian competition "Miss Ukraine". By the way, this exclusive crown was created in 2018 by the Lviv jewelers, taking the crown of Danylo Galytsky as a model. White gold, platinum, as well as precious and semi-precious stones were used to make it.
Ukrainian New Wave films presentation
On April 20, at "Kinopalats", located on Teatralna street, 22 in Lviv, you’ll have an opportunity to enjoy a major event – a premier show of contemporary Ukrainian short films. Among participants – many film directors and actors of the almanac "Ukrainian New Wave: Beautiful Twenty Years."
Natural park for protection of virgin forests
And in the end – good news from outside the city. In the Turkivsky district of the Lviv region, in order to preserve unique virgin forests, a national nature park "Boykivshchyna" will be created. By creating new national natural parks, Ukraine is gradually approaching the standards of the European Union, where about 15-18% of the territories have the status of protected areas. At present in Ukraine this figure is only about 7%. By the way, the objects of the World Eco-Nature Emerald Network will enter the future park. The Emerald Network is a set of specially protected areas in Europe and in some African countries.
