From Kyiv to Cologne: flight and accommodation
The easiest way to get to Cologne from Kyiv is Wizzair flight, which can cost about 100$ for return ticket. Flight takes only 3 hours. The best possible way to discover the city is to take a ride at Kolner City Bus Tour.
The circular city route lasts for 1.5 hour and will take you through the center of the megalopolis on the Rhine River, allowing you to get off at each stop and to go sightseeing. The “red” route starts close to the Cathedral at Railway Square. The bus leaves every 30 minutes from 10-00 to 17-30. There is an audio guide in different languages. The rout includes 14 stops. The ticket costs 18 euros (with exits at bus stops).There is also a blue route. It starts at 10.45, available from May to September. It includes 9 stops.
2000 years of Cologne’ history is reflected in the Romanesque basilicas, well-kept small streets, palaces and Gothic architecture of ancient buildings. Cologne Cathedral is the visiting card of the city as well as Chocolate Museum, Odysseum, Brühl Castle, Roman-Germanic Museum, St. Martin Church, Zoo, Botanic Garden and many other attractions and points of interest. And don’t forget about shopping in the central part of the old town.
In the evening it is a great pleasure to choose one of many restaurants and bars in the city center to enjoy classic German sausages and different types of tasty beer.
