“Winter Country” 2019 at Expocenter of Ukraine
“Winter Country” at Expocenter of Ukraine is probably the largest kingdom of kids` winter entertainment in the Ukrainian capital. The territory of the complex, decorated with colorful festive garlands and lights, offers the wide range of fun activities for both kids and grown-ups. The list of activities includes a large ice skating rink, tubing, Christmas fair with souvenirs and food, “tropic farm” with exotic butterflies, Santa Claus`s residence, film shows and quests, rope-course, “Country of robots”, exhibition of ice sculptures, “Ice Age” exposition, 3D magic space, “Fairy tale forest” photo area and more.

Citrus Kingdom on Spivoche Pole
During the winter holidays, the territory of Spivoche Pole in Kyiv will host a unique event – the first citrus festival in Ukraine. Those who visit the festival will see many castles from fairy tales, built of… 120 tones of real lemons and oranges! Here you will find castles and houses of Aladdin, Robin Hood, duke Dracula, Harry Potter and even the citrus residence of Santa Claus and citrus Christmas tree. Apart from unusual citrus structures, the visitors will enjoy traditional winter entertainment activities: snowtubing, sliding and riding dog pulled sleds.

“Cosmic Mission: Searching for Magic Powers” Program in Planetarium
“Cosmic Mission: Searching for magic Powers” is a unity of art New Year performance with the most modern technologies of Kyiv planetarium. The full-dome 3D show will tell a story of cosmic magicians who have developed special programs for the planet Earth – the Discs of Powers, enriching the planet and protecting it from the evil forces. But cosmic pirates steal these Discs and opened doors for the Darkness… Who will now save the Earth? The guests of the show will know the answer. Also they will enjoy neon and laser visual effects, scientific experiments, interactive programs, beautiful Cosmic Christmas tree and Cosmic photo areas.

Festive Activities on Kontraktova Square
In the period of winter holidays, Kontraktova square in Podil district traditionally becomes a solid party with many entertainment options for kids. This time, the square and its Christmas tree will be decorated in the style of the famous Ukrainian painter Maria Primachenko. Kids of all ages love her unique “magic animals”, so they will surely enjoy seeing such kind of decor. Besides, the festive program includes many interesting art performances, workshops, St. Nicholas`s residence and many attractions such as slides and ferris wheel.

Festive Activities on Sofiyska Square
Sofiyska square will also delight families with kids. Apart from the beautiful main Christmas tree of the country, here kids will see art performances, will have a chance to participate in exciting workshops and will have fun on different attractions installed on the square and on Volodymyrsky passage. For an example, children will be offered to ride “Polar express” train around Bohdan Khmelnytsky Monument. Of course, there will also be a festive Christmas fair with tasty food and drinks.

“Nutcracker” Ballet
This Christmas ballet of the eminent Piotr Tchaikovsky, based on the fairy tale of Ernst Hoffmann, never gets old. It tells the story of Mary – a little girl who gets a funny wooden nutcracker as a Christmas gift. In the Christmas night, the strange events take place: nutcracker comes to life, and Mary has to help him to fight evil Mouse King and his army… This beautiful 2-act ballet is appreciated by both children and grown-ups as it creates a wonderful holiday atmosphere.
