The idea is quite simple - clients can barter goods and services for a stay at hotels and B&Bs. While ten years ago the initiative was Italian-only, nowadays Barter Week is supported around the globe.

From November 19 to 25, guests of Dream Hostel in Lviv and Hostel Friday in Odesa have a chance to stay for free providing they offer a respectful barter. As a rule, helping with cleaning or mending is the most popular option but guests also assist with the decor, interior styling or creating photos and videos for the venue. Black Friday with Ukrainian International Airlines

Airplane in the skyThis year, Ukrainian Airlines celebrates their 26th anniversary on the Ukrainian market that coincides with Black Friday. That's why the company will offer discounts up to 50% off fares to various destinations in Europe, North America and Asia. The sale will take place on November 23-25. Departure cities will include Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Kherson and Zaporizhia. You can find more details at flyuia.com.

Traveling to Thailand from Ukraine is now cheaper

Visa stamps in a passportAccording to the Ambassador of Ukraine to Thailand Andrii Beshta, Thailand canceled the visa application fee for Ukrainian citizens. Before November 15, all holders of Ukrainian passports had to pay $60 fee to have a Thai visa on arrival. From November 15, 2018, to January 31, 2019, Ukrainian citizens will be granted a travel visa on arrival for a period of 15 days without the application fee.

The same terms are true for citizens of Andorra, Bhutan, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Fiji, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Malta, Mauritania, Papua New Guinea, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan and Uzbekistan.

Mukachevo - Budapest train to be launched soon

Train riding on viaductOn November 14, the first experimental train Mukachevo-Budapest arrived at the central station in Ukrainian Mukachevo in the Carpathians. While the route was originally planned to be added in the schedule in summer 2018, the official launch is yet to happen. According to the Acting Chairman of the Board of "Ukrzaliznytsya" Yevhen Kravtsov, the ticket price for the second-class seat will start at UAH 700. The trip will take approximately 6 hours with stops in Nyíregyháza and Debrecen.
