At the beginning of the year, Ukrainians discussed the news about the high-speed railway track from central Kyiv to Boryspil International airport. The new track is promised to reach the destination in 40 minutes. The construction works are already in process at Kyiv Central Railway Station. Passengers are promised to test the first train in 2018. At the moment, five train cars are getting ready to get on track. Each of them will accommodate up to 90 people.
Following the latest trend of eco-friendliness, airlines and governments around the world are considering the ecological way of transfers. For instance, experts in Norway state that the country can start operating inbound flights solely on electric planes until 2040. While nowadays the planes accommodate a limited number of people, in perspective the electric liners will accommodate up to 20-30 passengers.
Australian Qantas airlines, on the contrary, opts for the more luxurious flight options. Its nonstop London-Sidney flight may be upgraded like never before: the airplane would host a bar, nursery, separate sleeping areas with real beds and even a gym. The company seeks for the aircraft suitable for the updated 12-hour flight.
New flights
Lufthansa Group will now have one more company represented in Ukraine: starting from October 2018, Brussels Airlines enters the Ukrainian market. The new route will connect the capitals of Ukraine and Belgium and will be launched on October 17. The flight will appear on the schedule four times a week.
One more flight that will connect Kyiv with another capital is the new Kyiv-Tbilisi launched by the Georgian Myway Airlines. The flights will be launched on October 5 and will operate twice a week on Monday and Friday. At the end of the month, the company plans to add a flight on Wednesday as well.
Ukrainian International Airlines also launches new flights to strengthen the connection with Europe. Starting from March 31, 2019, UIA will launch everyday flights Kyiv-Sofia and Kyiv-Bucharest. Tickets to Sofia are now available for booking with the lowest price of €32 for a round trip.
Another addition from Ukrainian International Airlines is Kyiv-Izmir flight that will appear on the schedule starting from June 15, 2019. The new route to Turkey is available for booking: the ticket price starts at €35 for a round trip.

As we’ve previously mentioned, Ryanair changed its hand luggage policy. Good news for those who have booked tickets before August 31 for flights in November and later — customers will be able to take their large hand luggage for free without paying additional fees. They will be able to register the luggage at the check-in desk. All detailed information will be provided in the email from Ryanair.
Moreover, Ryanair offers to plan a winter getaway from Ukraine with tickets that start at €18 for a round trip. For instance, Kyiv-Warsaw flight in January will cost €18 and Kyiv-Stockholm in November will be €27. Other destinations include Berlin, London, Krakow, Vilnius and several cities in Poland. P
olish LOT airlines has announced a big sale for flights to Poland, North America and Asia from different cities in Ukraine. Thus, you can book a ticket from Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv and Zaporizhia to New York starting at €430 for a round trip. Flights to Poland, namely Warsaw, Poznan and Bydgoszcz start at €54 for a round trip. Finally, Asian destination is represented by Singapore with flights from Lviv and Odesa starting at €479 for a round trip.
