The First Ukrainian Gesso Biennale 2019
More than 90 artists, who have passed the competitive selection, will present their works this spring within the exhibition. Large and small, traditional and modern, monochrome and multi-colored, all these paintings should accomplish one important task - to bring the viewer closer to the ancient gesso tradition, combining painting, drawing, and sculpture into one technique.

EPISODES art exhibition
Svetlana Yatsenko - famous restorer, artist, photographer who works with modern technology of digital art, painting, graphics, papier-mâché and photography.
Her works are full of a variety of professional techniques, combined decorative compositions. The viewers of the exhibition can admire the contrasts of colors, turning into abstract forms, fantasies and everyday episodes of urban landscapes.

The exhibition of ikebana and Japanese dolls
The exposition contains 60 compositions created in the traditions of the ancient school of ikebana and is dedicated to the Japanese girls' holiday, which is called the peach blossom holiday.
The exhibition hall of the National Museum of Literature of Ukraine will feature works of both traditional forms of ikebana and compositions in a free style. Guests will also see Japanese dolls in traditional outfit.

Bead art exhibition
This year, exhibition will focus on the samples of ancient and modern Ukrainian traditional bead art. The visitors can see the modern trends of bead art in fashionable products by the masters from all over Ukraine.
There will be presented the old and modern attires, a collection of traditional Ukrainian folk and designer beads; special modern accessories and bead jewelry of the famous Ukrainian masters.

Rapoport-Babak-Kaniv Painting Exhibition
Two classic artists will be presented together for the first time in one project. The exhibition will feature a unique selection of works by Borys Rapoport from the collection of “Chervonechorne” (redblack) art association, which has been formed for several years.
Creativity of Alexander Babak and Borys Rapoport belongs to different eras. This makes it possible not only to explore the "object" (landscapes of Kaniv town) here and now, but also to see the trends in art, their changes over a whole generation.
