Revolutionize
In 2018, Ukraine commemorated the 5th anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity. The events made an impact not only on the mindset of the country but also its art scene. Revolutionize is an international project and an attempt to look at revolution through research.
30 contemporary artists and art groups from various countries starting from Ukraine to the Netherlands analyze the revolution as a social phenomenon through traditional art methods like painting and new art forms like video and multimedia. The main message that lies behind the exhibition is an aspiration for freedom that essentially sparked the 2013 Revolution. The tickets are available at artarsenal.in.ua.

Art for Human Rights
Arts for Human Rights exhibition is full of artifacts that reflect the collaboration of civil society activists and artists. Within one day, they created art projects aimed at drawing attention to the problem of human rights in Ukraine and things that have to be changed in the future. The exhibition was made in collaboration with Yaroslav Belinsky, Freedom House Ukraine Tetiana Pechonchyk, and Human Rights Information Center. It is hosted by America House Kyiv - make sure to have an ID for admission.

Future Generation Art Prize 2019
Future Generation Art Prize is a biannual prize for young artists around the globe founded by Ukrainian philanthropist Victor Pinchuk. The patron artists of the festival include famous personalities of the art world like Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons and Takashi Murakami. In 2019, the exhibition of works by the prize winners will be traditionally hosted at PinchukArtCentre in Kyiv. All details will be available at new.pinchukartcentre.org.

Porcelain Renaissance of Ukraine
Nowadays the Ukrainian ceramics experience a new rise - contemporary artists start their own brands and sell glazed items on numerous exhibitions. Porcelain follows the trend, which is evident at the Porcelain Renaissance exhibition hosted by the Museum Of Modern Art Of Ukraine.
Olena Skitsyuk and Olena Kulik explore the traditions of the world-famous Petrykivka decorative painting traditions. Odesa artist Olena Zhernova and Lviv artist Oleksandr Oparii present their vision of rethinking the traditional approaches of decorating porcelain. Antonenko represents his own quest for the new art of porcelain from 1950s decor motifs to abstract compositions.

Khreshchatyk Street: Projects and Reality
The Khlibli exhibition halls of Sophia of Kyiv National Sanctuary host a grand exhibition dedicated to the post-war reconstruction of the main street of Kyiv - Khreshchatyk. While the most part of the street was ruined during the WWII, some buildings could have been preserved.
Instead, the government held an architectural contest, which gathered more than two dozen participants not only from Kyiv but also from other cities of the former Soviet Union. Some of the works that show how Khreshchatyk could have looked nowadays are exhibited for the first time.

Avantgarde
One of the most expected art exhibitions in Ukraine, Avantgarde will unite the works by the world-famous Avantgarde painters like Oleksandr Bogomazov, Vasyl Yermylov, Aleksandra Ekster, David Burliuk, and Oleksandr Rodchenko.
Moreover, visitors will have a chance to witness works by Malevich and Kandinsky embedded in the audio-visual installation. The courtyard of M17 will host an Avantgarde map of the world. Kyiv Art Week
Kyiv Art Week was founded in 2016 and is the first Ukrainian art event to start the famous "art week" format in the country. Kyiv Art Week exhibits numerous works of art in all forms from more than 100 cultural institutions across the globe. The main theme of festival in 2019 is This Is Not A Competition.
