October 15 - November 15 Ivan Marchuk's exhibition is held at the National Museum of Montenegro

Anniversary retrospective exhibition of the artist "Genotype of Freedom", dedicated to his 85th birthday, consists of 48 paintings of different periods and themes.

The exhibition is designed to acquaint Montenegrins with a living Ukrainian classic, whose work is studied in schools and to whom is dedicated the museum, which is currently being created in Kyiv, according to the Decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.


The artist personally came to Montenegro to present his works. He told the media and distinguished guests about his author's technique "pliontanism ", features, joys and difficulties of his long creative life.

At the press conference and grand opening of the exhibition was presented by the main organizer of the project, President of the Association for International Relations ADRUM Tetiana Kolesnichenko, curator of the exhibition from the National Museum of Montenegro Snizhana Ivovych and Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine in Ukraine Natalia Fialka.

Montenegrins showed great admiration for the art of the Ukrainian artist. The opening was attended by Alexander Kascelan, Mayor of Cetinje, where the National Museum of Montenegro is situated, Metropolitan of the Montenegrin Orthodox Church Michael and other distinguished guests.

Ivan Marchuk was in Montenegro for the first time, he expressed admiration for the beauty of the country and the joy of the exhibition at the National Museum of Montenegro. The artist has created more than 4,000 works. In half a century of creative activity he has held more than 150 monographic exhibitions on five continents, and in Montenegro he liked the exhibition the most.

Montenegrins have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the works of the Ukrainian artist, who according to the British newspaper "The Daily Telegraph" entered the ranking of 100 modern geniuses, he is a member of the Golden Guild of the Roman Academy of Contemporary Art. Ivan Marchuk has many honors and awards. Among them there is an awards "Legend of Ukraine" of president of Ukraine dedicated to the 30 anniversary of the country's independence.


The exhibition is organized by the Association for the Development of International Relations ADRUM, the National Museum of Montenegro with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Montenegro. General partner is Windrose Airlines.
