At the beginning of the project, a press conference was held where the project organizer, President of the Association for the Development of International Relations ADRUM Tatiana Kolesnichenko, charge d'affaires of Ukraine in Montenegro Natalya Fiyalko, Honored Artist of Ukraine Tatyana Piskareva and director of the Budo Tomovic KIC Snezana Burzhan talked about Ukrainian Days music in Montenegro, as an event of cultural diplomacy, the purpose of which is to familiarize the Montenegrins with the culture of Ukraine and develop ties between our countries. As part of the event, an art exhibition, concert and master classes of Ukrainian music took place. At the exhibition, the National Museum of Taras Shevchenko presented the works of the Ukrainian genius Taras Shevchenko “Musicians”, and STUDIORAR presented modern Ukrainian photography. Photo art masters took part in the project: Valentin Karminsky, Alexander Putrov, Alexander Udra, Sergey Tushinsky, Andrey Maksimov, Alexander Voropaev. The exposition of the photo called “Look and Listen” includes 20 photos of modern Ukrainian stars of different genres - “Okean Elzy”, “DakhaBraha”, Lyudmila Monastyrskaya, Tina Karol, etc. Under each photo there is a QR code with a link to the song of this artist or group. Master classes were held for adults and children, where visitors learned about unique Ukrainian musical instruments and had the opportunity to try to play Ukrainian music with musicians. A concert was held at the grand opening, in which the honored artist of Ukraine Tatyana Piskareva, who also acted as the host of the event, as well as the opera singer Tatyana Bondar, instrumental virtuosos bandura player Yaroslav Dzhus and wind instrument Maxim Berezhnyuk, took part. On the Montenegrin side, the host concert was the Montenegrin television star Sabrija Vulic.
The National Museum of Taras Shevchenko donated the work of Ukrainian artists to the museums of Montenegro: a picture by Valentina Kozyar “Violinist” at the National Museum of Montenegro and a picture by Mikhail Kirilenko “Melody of the Mountains” to the Museums and Galleries of Podgorica.
Montenegrins were amazed by the multifaceted vibrant art of Ukraine - both its authentic sound and modern talents. With the help of cultural diplomacy in Montenegro, they learned about Ukraine as a modern, European, highly cultured country with a long history and distinct traditions. Days of Ukrainian music are already planned for next year in Montenegro, and the project is also planned to be held in other countries.
After the concert, a cocktail party was held, where representatives of the political, cultural and business elites of Montenegro and Ukraine had the opportunity to talk and discuss future projects.
Days of Ukrainian music are organized by the Association for the Development of International Relations ADRUM with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Montenegro. The project partner is the MOO "For Family Values".
