This patriotic and family sports festival has already managed to become favorite Independence Day Celebration attraction for locals and guests of the capital, which is proven by annual growth of participants and fans number. For the fourth year this day unites all runners in celebration of the Ukraine’s Independence Day. All this became possible thanks to the ideological inspirer of "Vyshyvanka Run”, international master of sports Oleksander Kuzin, and also to the President of the National Organization "Sports Fans Federation” Natalia Galatsan.

Both adults and children can step into the fight for the Independence Cup. Everyone will be able to contribute to the charity and to test their strength at different distances: children up to 10 y.o. will run 100 meters; children under 15 y.o. - 500 meters; and adults will compete in the 500-meter, 5- and 10- kilometer distances.
Every year this traditional marathon expands its geography: same races will be organized in Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Uzhhorod and Dnipro. Ukrainians from New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Toronto and Munich are also planning to put on traditional Ukrainian shirts and support this new tradition.
All participants will receive a starter pack with a backpack, embroidered shirt, start number with chip to fix the time, as well as a commemorative medal on the finish and bottled water. The winners will receive prize cups and cash prizes. All visitors will receive prizes from sponsors and partners, as well as get a chance to enjoy entertainment program and music concert after finishing the run.
The big Independence race will start at Rusanivska waterfront on August 24, 2017 in Kyiv at 9 AM. In 2017 the Run expects over 2,5 thousand participants.
