The selection of beaches in Kyiv is huge. Among the most popular beach areas with top quality facilities is Hidropark area. Here you’ll find jet ski rental, sun loungers, swimming pools and bars and restaurants with waiter service. For those with simpler tastes the whole of Hydropark and Trukhaniv Island offer all sorts of little bays and sandy enclaves where you can settle down for the afternoon.
The newest addition to a varied beach club scene on Trukhaniv island is Sandali City Beach Club. The vast territory of the club offers a spacious pool, sun beds, umbrellas, the restaurant with terrace and tropic bar, volleyball field, hookah lounge, kids zone and many other attractions. There are 50’s themed bungalows for rent available for those guests who would like to stay overnight. Sandali Beach Club is planning on hosting numerous concerts and parties.
Kyiv Central beach, which is also located on Trukhaniv island, is the closest on to the city center and, therefore, often the most crowded. However, if ever you get bored with the amount of people you have an option of escaping in the woods of Trukhaniv Island, getting a drink at one of the cafes around or switching for more calm UBK beach club.
UBK (South Shore of Kyiv) is a cozy beach club also located on Trukhaniv island. This is a great place to have a delicious meal and a refreshing cocktail, to enjoy a sunshine on the beach and to dance. UBK is well known and very popular among local young crowd for hosting major parties and inviting popular Djs, musicians and performers. During the day, Yuzhniy Bereg Kieva looks like a nice public beach with people calmly relaxing in the sun and swimming in Dnipro waters. But after 18:00, this place suddenly turns into a real open-air night club.
Hydropark area also offers many clean and pleasant beaches to spend some good time at. One of the most popular beach of the area is Dytyachuy beach (Children’s beach). It is very neat and has quality white sand. The water along the shoreline is also quite clean. For the guests there are lockers, chaise longs, litter bins, toilets provided on the territory and a café nearby. Near the beach there are also lots of children attractions.
Predmostnaya Slobodka beach would be an ideal option for those, who also appreciate the opportunity to eat, drink and party well. Predmostnaya Slobodka Beach is located in the epicenter of Hydropark’s party and dining scene. The only negative aspect is that there is only one toilet for the whole beach.
Molodizhnyy Beach (Youth Beach) is one of the most remotely located beaches in Kyiv. It is located on Dolobetsky Island, on the right from Venetian Bridge, Hydropark area. It is pretty clean and not so crowded as other local beaches, however lacks in infrastructure, so better bring your own food, drinks, sunscreens etc.
Golden beach is located away from the busy coast of Hydropark. Moreover, there is a stunning view of the Kyivo-Pechersk Lavra. However, if you like to rest in peace, it is necessary to get equipped in advance: the beach does not have sun-beds or parasols for rent, there are no cafes or grocery stores around, better bring your own towels, food and drinks.
