Located in the Heart of Podil, Pink Freud is a sanctuary in the busy city.
This location has an entire covered courtyard so you feel like you are outside while still protected from any wet or cold weather. Freud specializes in cocktails both exotic and common. An interesting chart displays the cocktail choices on an axis of parameters such as sweet/sour or richer/refreshing with added indication of the type of alcohol featured.
The Mixologist provides a great show as well as private classes on demand.
Occasionally there is live music. The open courtyard provides perfect acoustics.

It is an underground place, great when the weather is cold. They have added an outdoor section to handle a large crowd. There is live music each night specializing in Blues/Jazz but often Rock&Roll.
Food is tasty but this is mostly a place to listen to music and spend time with friends.

It is the best kept secret in Kyiv. Docker Pub hosts the best bands in Ukraine and occasionally world famous visiting groups.Food is excellent and reasonably priced. Tables are very sturdy as needed to support enthusiastic dancing fans in the late evening. It is on the edge of the city but well worth the visit. Schedule of events can be seen on their website. Most of the staff speaks English.

It is another Obolon favorite located pub on the Obolon Riverwalk. Dakota offers great food, drinks, and live music. A large outdoor terrace provides ample room for friends to watch game on a large screen projection tv.
Prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly.
It is one of the best pubs to watch people passing on the Riverwalk.

It is a bit difficult to find this place for the first time, but it has great central location.
Understated Elegance, great selection of craft beer, cocktails and tasty food will make your evening here unforgettable. The specialty food is hotdogs!
D&T has a certain ambience that attracts a wide range of Kyiv citizens from Hipsters to Businessmen.
Prices are reasonable and staff speaks English.

It can be difficult to find it, but it is very close to Khreshatik, located in a courtyard and underground. It is a cozy place for drinks with friends or to meet expats.
The bar is here since 2003. Baraban hosts live piano music frequently.
This bar is one of the best escapes from the chaos of the city without leaving the city.
