The founders of Ham.lo project were the first in Ukraine to start cooking raw cured meat delicacies according to the original technology. For this purpose, they went through a special training in Italy. Ulitka bar was the first project that introduced the escargot to a broad audience in the street food format. Besides, one of the partners, Evgeny Gontaruk, is a professional sommelier. That is how the concept of the cafe was merged — delicacies and wine at reasonable prices.
"The idea to open a cafe inside the Bessarabsky market was inspired by numerous trips around Europe and visits to local markets. We wanted to bring the atmosphere of cozy family cafes, where the owners stand behind the counter, talk to visitors, tell them about their product, make it possible to try a bite of everything. The oldest market in Kyiv seemed to be a good place for such format, " — notes the co-owner of Prosciutteria Wine and Deli and Ulitka bar, Anna Gontaruk.
