New Concert Announcements 2018 in Ukraine

2018 started as a quite bountiful year for music scene in Ukraine: local concert halls and clubs met David Guetta and Bones, and many can't wait for X-Ambassadors, Gorillaz and Imagine Dragons. Each week seems to bring awesome news, so Destinations gathered even more announcements for 2018 concerts in Ukraine.

GusGus

A band that had its fans waiting for so long finally dropped a new album. GusGus is a duo from Iceland,  performing a fusion of house and techno, which sounds best in studio headphones and, of course, live at the concert. The band will present a new Lies Are More Flexible album after a 4-year hiatus. Some tracks have already been performed at Iceland Airwaves fest and received high acclaim from fans. GusGus definitely belongs to music for dancing, so the night promises to be hot.

Morcheeba

This trip-hop band has been charming international listeners and charts since 90s; it hasn't lost its vibe today. To many the band is known for a unique and rich voice of lead singer, Skye Edwards - one of the Morcheeba's founders. The last time fans heard of them was 5 years ago, when they released Head up High album. Luckily, this year Morcheeba presents a new album, and Never Undo single is expected for release in March. The band will perform in the capital to revive the greatest hits and present their new album.

Little Dragon

Those who follow news of the UPark festival know that this event will bring Gorillaz, Massive Attack and Bonobo on Ukrainian stage. The latest news brought the names of new headliners, Swedish electro band Little Dragon is among them. The band already has a vast experience of performing at European festivals and a Grammy nomination for their fourth album Nabuma Rubberband. This summer, Little Dragon will present their latest album at the People's Friendship Arch in Kyiv.

Young Fathers

Another headliner of the UPark festival, Young Fathers will present their new album Cocoa Sugar. It's not a first time the band performs in Kyiv — they gave a concert in 2015 met with success. Young Fathers is a fusion of various styles: hip-hop, soul, trip-hop and lo-fi, which has been critically acclaimed by The Guardian. The band will perform on the same day with Massive Attack and Bonobo.

Die Antwoord

The eccentric duo from Capetown will visit Ukraine's capital this summer. A fusion of hip-hop and rave, Die Antwoord is best known for their 2009 hit Enter the Ninja, which, by the way, is a name of one of the band's members. Ninja and ¥o-landi Vi$$er have released 4 full albums and will present some tracks from their new-coming The Book of Zef, which will be the last for the band's career. Sure enough, the old hits will resonate and light up the night as well.
